For Work – The Compassionate Mind by Paul Gilbert. I highly recommend this book for understanding the negative and positive impact our own behaviours have on us and others.
For Pleasure (three of them) – The Stieg Larsson Trilogy – gripping stuff!

Your heroes include …?
Heroine – my long gone grandmother, one of the gentlest and forgiving women I have known

Favourite line from a film?
Not sure, I don’t particularly remember lines from films

Best day at work (so far)?
Several – when I can be truly present in my work, attentive, noticing and genuine in my work.

Who makes you laugh?
My husband, when he is in ‘grumpy old man’ mode.

Last journey you took?
Memorable one for work on a train to London chatting with a colleague about life, world peace, compassion and consciousness – my how the time flew by!

What’s on your desk?
Desk top PC, telephone, diary, my computer reading glasses and my wise old glass owl paperweight.

How do you deal with stress?
I take a few minutes to focus on breathing through my heart whilst bringing to mind all that I am appreciative of, love and care for. Sometimes I also hold compassion and acceptance for how I am feeling – works wonders in creating a shift.

Oliver Reed, Nelson Mandela, Joanna Lumley

Favourite place?
St Kilda, in the Outer Hebrides, where I had the good fortune to visit for work some years ago. A truly wild and magical place.
