JULIE colley

Life is full of opportunity and Julie believes in filling it with as many experiences as possible.  She is fortunate to be able to fill her life in supporting and sharing experiences with wonderful people - her busy husband and grown up children along with extended family and befriending the elderly.  As well as working closely with Sladen Consulting she manages Sladen Lodge – a residential retreat in the heart of the Peak District National Park.

Last book you read…
"The RYA Yachtmaster Scheme Syllabus & Logbook" whilst preparing for my theory exam!!!

Your heroes include…
I don’t have any heroes but I do know people I aspire to be like which include a lady called Lyn Preston – the most energetic, non-judgemental, tolerant and kindest person I know.

Favourite line from a film…
"Get busy living or get busy dying” from the Shawshank Redemption because I strive to truly live life to the full.

Best day at work (so far)…
I can’t think of one which stands out – they are mostly pretty good!

Who make you laugh…
Michael McIntyre and my brother-in-law, Charlie West – a very jolly publican in Wiltshire!

Last journey you took…
Sailing from Vannes to the Vilaine river in Brittany on our lovely old yacht with my husband – pure heaven!

What’s on your desk…
A never ending “To do” list (I love a list!) plus a couple of photos reminding me how delightful my offspring were as young children!

How do you deal with stress…
Well, there is a question – I don’t recognise stress in myself easily apart from when I simply cannot make a decision – and I don’t know of, or have a way of dealing with it!

3 people you’d like to have dinner with (dead or alive)…
Nelson Mandela, Richard Branson and Dame Judi Dench.

Favourite place…
Italy as it is my favourite country and, in particular, Florence as it is where we spent our honeymoon.
