KARINA LEYSER

With 10+ years of Corporate experience, Karina gained her proficiency in Project and Process Management, Strategic Planning and Procurement Operations. She is used to working in multi-cultural environments and languages (especially when it comes to Latin America) and understands the value of diversity and empathy.

Certified Black belt in Lean Six Sigma methodology, Karina designed and deployed several Global/Regional Transformational Projects, aligning global requirements with local needs. Her most satisfying achievements include coaching and developing others in corporate trainings across the world and mentoring/ development of young talents.

From a personal perspective, Karina has been a volunteer for Female Empowerment non-profit organisations (Brazil and abroad), as she believes that women just need a chance to prove their value alongside men.

"The unbearable lightness of being” by Milan Kundera. Very deep and insightful reading!

My grandmother, who was a fighter in life but never lost her love and faith in the world.

Best day at work (so far)…
Several times when I finished a training session and people are left understanding and embracing the content. Or the time that I had a mentoring session and was able to help young colleagues.

Who make you laugh…
My youngest nephew, the cast of Friends, my Mexican friend Lorena.

Last journey you took…
Too short a trip to UK and Paris, and prior to that, amazing Lima and Cuzco regions, Peru.

What’s on your desk…
My cell phone, a cup of tea or latte, notebook with colourful pens, post it notes in different sizes and colours, and, my MacBook.

How do you deal with stress…
Breathe, walk, plan next trip, watch something that makes me laugh, and if nothing works at least one glass of wine at the end of the day…

Meryl Streep, C.S. Lewis, Michelle Bachelet (former president of Chile).

Favourite place…
Paseo de la Reforma Avenue in Mexico City (especially on Sundays), my couch, Machu Picchu.
