Last book you read…
"The future beyond brands  - Lovemarks" by Kevin Roberts, CEO Worldwide, Saatchi & Saatchi. A really fun, comic book of a read, stuffed with pictures and colour and fascinating, thought provoking points of view.

Your heroes include…
Dame Ellen McArthur, Dr Arthur Preston, my great-grandfather who I had the privilege of knowing. He was a doctor in the first and second world war. Both times he was captured and held as a PoW as he would not leave his patients as the enemy advanced.

Favourite line from a film…
"To infinity and beyond!" from Toy Story 1

Best day at work (so far)…
Any day where I see people making a change in their lives.

Who make you laugh…
My enthusiastic youngest daughter, Lizzie

Last journey you took…
Ski touring from my back door, up over the Peak District moors and back down to the local pub. Something I didn’t imagine doing!

What’s on your desk…
Very little! A laptop and an empty cup which needs replenishing immediately!

How do you deal with stress…
Going for a run and getting things in perspective.

3 people you’d like to have dinner with (dead or alive)…
Captain Scott, Woody from Toy Story (because of his endless enthusiasm and "can do" attitude)  and Joan Colley, my late, rather naughty grandmother.

Favourite place…
Anywhere at sea
