Rob pitt

Rob has worked in the field of learning and development for 18 years with people from many walks of life, from young offenders to teams in global organisations, to CEOs.  His work is all about helping people to access new awareness and to develop new ways of thinking, behaving, interacting, and responding to challenges so that they, and the systems they are part of, can be healthier and more effective.   He coaches individuals, relationships and teams and facilitates meetings, workshops and leadership development programmes.

Rob is particularly interested in the area of sustainability and helping people and businesses to improve their impact, reduce risk, be more successful in the long run and play a positive role in protecting and restoring the systems we all depend on.

Last book you read…
I usually have at least two on the go so “Theory U” (for the second time) by Otto Scharmer and “Permaculture a Beginners Guide” by Graham Burnett.

Your heroes include…
Andy Leivers who showed me what it means to live life with courage, dignity, humour, and kindness. Nick Arding, my climbing partner on many adventures, and his wife Philippa, the toughest and kindest people I’ve met. My wife, a person who knows what’s important and acts accordingly, always.

Favourite line from a film…
"With great power comes great responsibility” from Spiderman. 

Best day at work (so far)…
All the days where I and the people I worked with learned something and a change happened.  I couldn’t single one out.

Who make you laugh…
My 4.5-year-old son and Alan Partridge.

Last journey you took…

A family bike around Llyn Crafnant, in the mountains near my home in Snowdonia.

What’s on your desk…
A standing desk, a laptop, a printer, a picture of my Dad, some paperwork that isn’t important enough to sort out yet.

How do you deal with stress…
By paying attention to what’s causing it and doing something about it.
